Submission Guidelines:
Brief biography of the author and abstract of maximum 250 words
Essay language: English
No part of the essay should have been published earlier or be under consideration for publication or in a similar contest elsewhere
Minimum 2,500 and Maximum word limit of the Essay: 10,000 (including footnotes)
Footnotes shall conform to Bluebook (19th Edition) rules of legal citation and must include a description of each authority adequate to allow a reasonable reader to identify and locate the authority in a publication of general circulation.
Font type should be Times New Roman, Font Size 12, with 1.5 line spacing. A margin of 1 inch or 2.54 cm shall be left on all four sides. The footnotes should be in Times New Roman, Font Size 10, with line spacing 1.
Plagiarized work will be disqualified.
Co-authorship is allowed but both authors are required to register separately.
Essays should be submitted to vc@gnlu.ac.in with participant’s name, address, contact details, University in docx or doc format with Subject “GNLU Essay Competition: Indian Foreign Policy – An Emerging Global Power: Myth v. Reality 2014-2025 Vision Based on Critical Assessment” latest by 25th February, 2014 (11:59 pm).
Eligibility:
The Competition shall open to all students from India or abroad pursuing undergraduate or post graduate course from recognized Universities / Colleges / Institutions.
Prizes:
1st Prize: Rs. 7,000/-
2nd Prize: Rs. 5,000/-
3rd Prize: Rs. 3,000/-
Submission Deadline: Tuesday, 25 February, 2014
Declaration of Result: Monday, 3 March, 2014
