About the Essay Competition
The essay competition is open only for Law students (either of 3 years or 5 years courses) students in India.
The prize distribution ceremony will be held on the 7th International Seminar which is usually held in the month of November at GIL.
Language
The essay should be originally written in English language, not exceeding 2500 words inclusive of foot notes.
Font Style
The font style should be in Times New Roman, line spacing 1.5 and font size 12. The footnoting style may be either in Blue Book or OSCOLA citation.
Submission Procedure
All submissions must be through E-mail which is prescribed below; no hard copy will be accepted by the institute.
A soft copy of the same should also be sent to “essaygil2017@geeta.edu.in” before the last date in “.doc” or “.docx” format. Soft copy should be submitted before the last date.
The participants will be informed about other details or subsequent changes, if any via email.
Only single authorship is permissible, any submission by more than one author shall be treated as multiple submissions and thereby shall result into disqualification.

Important Dates
Final submission of essay: 1st September, 2017
Announcement of results: 30th September, 2017
Writings must be mailed in the name of Coordinator with name of participant, address, phone no, email id, name of college/university with class and address at essaygil2017@geeta.edu.in
