About the Conference
UPES School of Law is organizing a two day International Conference on Law and Technology (ICLT 2019) on ‘Legal, Social, and Economic Perspectives on Exponential Technologies: Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Biotechnology’ on 28th & 29th September 2019.
This conference is an endeavour to invite views from cross-sections of the stakeholders on the legal issues related to Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Biotechnology while learning from the labyrinth of the purported conclusions reached in the recent past by courts, regulators, technocrats, and commentators on these issues, churn out a testable hypothesis or notions for their resolution going ahead.

UPES invites academicians, professionals, practitioners, scholars, students, academic bodies, government bodies, civil society organizations from both legal and technical industry, to submit abstracts on the following themes:
- Theme I: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Law
- Theme II: Blockchain Technology and Law
- Theme III: Merger of Biotechnology and Intellectual Property Law
- Theme IV: Innovation and IPR: From Creation to Commercialization
The topics discussed above are not exhaustive, and the Conference welcomes aspirational dialogue on any issues pertaining to Law and Emerging Technologies.
Last date for abstract submission: August 15, 2019
The abstract shall be of 250-300 words.
