About the Organiser
Justice For Rights Foundation is a youth driven N.G.O. (Non-Governmental Organization), comprising of professionals (Advocates, C.S, C.A’s, Engineers, Doctors, Educationists, Social Workers) as well as grass root workers. One of the organization’s core belief is to promote awareness and work on issues in Human Right Law development.
We are working for welfare of Indian Armed Forces & Paramilitary Forces (disabled and martyr’s), their families, rehabilitation of rape victims, providing education to children who are somehow devoid of it and for the upliftment of transgenders. Justice For Rights Foundation reaches out about 7 states including Delhi, through a highly efficient and strong volunteer network.
The Event
In continuance of the above beliefs Justice for Rights organization introduced a unique Internship and Research paper writing programme. Wherein students enrolled from various Law Faculties enthusiastically participated. The topic of the Research paper was “Need for Police reforms & Role of NHRC”.
The organization carefully selected this topic as not much work has been done on this particular issue, especially as an area of academic study. Moreover, the topic gave students a chance to point out infirmities: glaring and nuanced in the Police System and largely in the Justice Administration.
On 24th August 2018, Justice for Rights is organizing a Legal Conference on “Need for Police reforms & Role of NHRC” and felicitation event to appreciate the hard work and enthusiasm of all the participatants who via their research paper have illustrated both, the problems and solutions that are subsisting in the system.
To further participants’ wisdom, legal luminaries will graciously address the audience, the guests are as follows: Sh. P.K. MISHRA, Hon’ble Former DGP of Border Security Forces. Justice P. Kohli, Hon’ble Former Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court, Former Chairman CAT (Principal Bench).
The event is being organized by Adv. Harpreet Singh Hora (Advocate, Supreme Court of India and National Head, Legal Cell (Justice For Rights Foundation))
