About the Article Writing Competition
Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College is organising its 1st edition of Chittaranjan Das National article writing competition 2020 where the topic is closely related to the supreme Law of our Country, The Constitution of India. The Article writing Competition will provide a platform to professors, scholars, professionals, and students to increase their knowledge and publish their article in the Annual Law Magazine ‘Recreatio ‘of the college and also in the Law Journal of the College along with other articles from eminent personalities of the legal realm.
- The Competition is open to all the Students who are pursuing LLB (5 years or 3-year course), LLM, professors, professionals, scholars of any other field.
- Co-authorship is allowed (but not more than 3 people).
- Co-authorship from different colleges are allowed.
- One article to be submitted by each author or co-authors.
Topic
- Tenth Schedule of the Constitution of India – A Global Overview
- Tenth Schedule of the Constitution of India and its relevance in the Statutory Provisions relating to the Local Self Governance in West Bengal
Submission Guidelines
Participants will be assigned one of the two topics via email after they register for the Article writing competition. The Participants must register by submitting their names and other relevant information as given in the registration form (google form).
The main article is to be sent via e-mail in word document format to ‘jcclc.awc.2020[at]gmail.com‘ with the subject as “Submission 1st National Article Writing Competition, 2020“ within the deadline.

The submission must be accompanied by a separate word document having the following information:
- Name of author
- Topic of article
- Title of article
- Year of Study and Course
- Name of Institution
- Contact Number
Article Details:
- Language: English
- Font: Times new Roman (italics to be used for the case laws)
- Word Limit: 3500-5000 (including footnotes)
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Size: a. Headings – 14
b. Article – 12
c. Footnotes – 10
NOTE: THERE IS NO REGISTRATION FEE FOR THE ARTICLE WRITING COMPETITION.

- Last Date of Registration: 5th February 2020 (11:59 PM)
- Last Date of Article Submission: 29th February 2020 (11:59 PM)
- Participation E-certificates to be sent within 15th March 2020 through E-Mail
- The top 5 article authors will be announced on 15th March 2020
- Merit E-Certificates to be sent within 15th March 2020 through Email
