CfP: Conference on Prospective Amendments in Criminal Law @ Unity Degree College, Lucknow [Aug 4]: Submit by July 25

About the Conference

Design of India’s criminal justice system does not truly serve the purpose for which it was set-up. In spite of the continuous efforts to strengthen our legal system our Criminal Justice System faces challenges in its implementation towards the ultimate goal.

In this One Day National Conference organized by Unity Degree College on “Prospective amendments in Criminal Law” we invite research papers and case studies to look at those prospective areas where amendments must be made to make our criminal justice system more effective.

Call for Papers

Well researched papers are invited from scholars, lawyers, practitioners, academicians, experts in the criminal justice, research scholars and related sectors and students on the theme cited below.

All interested may send an abstract of not more than 250 words highlighting the key issues intended to be discussed in the paper by 25^th July, 2018.

Acceptance of the abstracts will be duly intimated by 27^th July, 2018 after the same have been shortlisted on the basis of quality and originality of arguments, and the full papers are required to be submitted by the authors thereafter by 2^nd August, 2018.

The authors of such papers will be given an opportunity to present their paper on the day of conference under various thematic sessions. In addition to this, the registered participants will be duly acclaimed by a Certificate that will be awarded. Besides, publication of selected papers might also be considered. 

Theme: Prospective Amendments in Criminal Law

Submission Guidelines

Abstracts not exceeding 250 words on the aforesaid theme should be sent to the Organizing Secretary through email at unityconference2018@gmail.com.

All Papers and Abstracts shall be sent via e-mail to unityconference2018@gmail.com as an attachment, the subject of which should mention ‘ABSTRACT SUBMISSION’ or ‘PAPER SUBMISSION’ accordingly.

Co-authorship up to three is allowed with separate registration.

Both the Abstracts and Final Papers should mandatorily have Cover Page which clearly indicates the following-

• Name of the author(s)
• Designation of the author(s)
• Contact details of the author(s)
• Email Id(s) of the author(s)

Paper Guidelines

Full length research paper, maximum in 4000 words should be submitted latest by 2^nd August, 2018 through email at unityconference2018@gmail.com.

The participants are expected to avoid plagiarism as far as possible and submit original papers only.

All Papers should be submitted in

• Font Type : Times New Roman
• Font Size : 12 pts
• Line spacing : 1.5 spacing
• Alignment : Justified
• Uniform mode of Citation

Presentation

Certificate of presentation would be awarded to all the participants. Participants can also submit their papers via web conferencing.

Prizes

The articles will be reviewed by a distinguished panel of academicians. Certificate of Merit and trophies would be awarded to top five student participants. 

Modes of Payment

The Participants/Delegates may register in the conference by depositing the fees through NEFT/RTGS/PAYTYM and submit their duly filled registration form through email by unityconference2018@gmail.com.

Publication Opportunity

All papers accepted for the conference will be published (If found fit for publication) in the journal and edited books with ISSN/ISBN.

All the selected participants must register themselves by sending a mail at unityconference2018@gmail.com by 31^st July, 2018.

The payment receipt and registration form must be attached in the mail.

Fee:

• Faculties/Professionals/Research Scholars: ₹800
• Student: ₹500
• Additional Paper by the same author:₹300

(Separate Certificates would be provided for each paper)

Presentation of Paper in absentia/web conferencing/Spot Registration

• Students: ₹600
• Faculties/Professionals/Research Scholars: ₹1200

Note: The authors and Co-authors both must register separately

The registration fee includes kit, lunch, High Tea, entry to all Technical session, Certificates and local hospitality.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be available to the outstation Delegates at nearby guest houses/hotels around conference venue.
