The Copyright Amendment Act, 2012 was recently passed by both houses of parliament. It promises to thoroughly revise the laws currently governing the Indian Copyright regime.
This legislative moment, provides an appropriate opportunity for academic reflection on the proposed changes. We need to analyse the probable impact of the changes and do a holistic appraisal of the provisions as they now stand.
The Editorial Board of the NUJS Law Review invites contributions for its forthcoming special issue on: The Copyright Amendment Act, 2012: Welcome change or missed opportunity?

NUJS Law Review is conceived as the medium of expression and preservation of legal research. On the model of legal journals in the West, especially the United States, it is primarily run by the students of NUJS. It is not a vehicle of any particular ideology, nor is it devoted exclusively to the research conducted at NUJS. It is open to expression of any views on any legal issue arising in any part of the world.
