Academike is a MASSIVE, open law journal and knowledge center started by Lawctopus.
And yes, it has an ISSN number! ISSN: 2349-9796. (See our take on the ISSN number here).
See the website at www.academike.com
We believe that all knowledge is useful. We believe that legal knowledge needs to be democratized. And we have plans for that! (We have already published three issues of the Journal.
ABOUT ACADEMIKE
Every semester thousands of law students in India engage in an exercise called ‘writing projects’. These are anywhere from 1000-10,000 word projects; anywhere from the very well researched to the plagiarized from Wikipedia.
Many students also make subject ‘notes’ which go waste after being a. carefully guarded from others or b. shared with everyone in class. Where do all of these projects and subject notes go? Do these go waste?
Even if not all projects are works of exceptional piece of writing and research, these can serve as a good starting point, a good literature review, a good over-view to build upon.
Some of these are actually exceptional works, and deserve a wider audience and comments from those who care.
Academike intends to provide all this. Academike will serve as a platform to publish legal research papers and notes of all kinds.
With our free and open access policy and liberal commenting guidelines, the research papers can be studied and commented upon by anyone with an access to internet.
GET A PUBLICATION OR CONTRIBUTE ANONYMOUSLY
When you contribute to Academike, you have 2 choices:
a. You can get your projects published in your name and get a publication with an ISSN number.
b. If for some reason want the project/notes to be published anonymously (say the quality is not good or you don’t want your names to be up), they can also do so.
Remember our ethos is that all knowledge is useful and hence this provision of publishing ‘average’ papers ‘anonymously’.
The best papers will be award by LexisNexis!
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Submit your projects, research papers and notes by October 20.
We have a big goal of getting 2000 publishable projects and notes by this date. Our college managers too will be working on this massive project!

It is a very nice initiative by Lawctopus. Keep it up !!
I am a 2nd year student, and I face lot of difficulty in writing papers, getting internships, etc Also there is a lot of difficulty in getting internship, more so ever, when seniors are reluctant in giving their resumes/CVs etc. I would request Tanuj to organise a competition in which you will award prize for best resumes, which you can publish on your website for public disposal.
I would like to know if case analyses will be accepted as a part of writing projects?
