Swaniti seeks out talented and committed professionals looking to make a difference in the governance space by supporting Indian Parliamentarians on program execution and research.
Accordingly, we expect our fellows to work on the following:
A. Policy Research and Analysis
The fellow will work closely with the Engagement Leads and/or Engagement Associates to develop high quality research reports on government schemes and successful development models in India.
Reports will consist of narratives of best practices and analysis of the client’s requirements to arrive at feasible interventions for development.
B. Field visits to assigned parliamentary constituencies
The fellow will support on-the-ground engagement work and should be willing to travel to different parliamentary constituencies as per the requirements of the assigned project.
The fellow will conduct interviews with multiple stakeholders such as government officials, civil society representatives, media organizations and other local administration.
The fellow will also be expected to document the findings and present a holistic analysis of on-the-ground situation to Swaniti team and subsequently to the client as well.
C. Knowledge Products
The fellow will support the team on scaling up and outreach of knowledge products – TamraPatra, a knowledge platform on Centrally Sponsored Schemes and Jigyasa, an open data portal to support data backed policy analysis.
