Background
As part of the ‘ln-Residence’ Programme envisaged to encourage creative and innovative potential of people and open up Rashtrapati Bhavan for greater participation and involvement of common man in its activities, an Innovation Scholars In-Residence Programme was launched in December, 201 3.
The details of the Scheme were placed on the website of the President of India, wherein online application forms were made available.
After following necessary procedure, five innovators were selected, who stayed at Rashtrapati Bhavan for a period of 20 days from 01 July – 20 July, 2014.
Second batch of Innovation Scholars In-Residence Programme
The second batch of Innovation Scholars In-Residence Programme will commence from 07 March, 2015 and applications are made open with effect from 01 November. 2014.
Online Applications are invited from interested applicants through the website of the President of India. All Indian nationals who have a track record of innovation and implementation of innovative ideas can apply.
A Committee will screen the applications and shortlist names for selection as an “Innovation Scholar in-Residence”.
