About
To catch up with the development of India, the Indian public sector needs to be able to execute innovative and scalable solutions.
The International Innovation Corps (IIC) hopes to jump-start the process of using innovative solutions to solve India’s social problems.
The IIC is a program to connect top-performing US and Indian college graduates with Indian public sector enterprises for one-year assignments that tackle discrete and tractable but important social challenges.
The IIC Fellowship
The IIC places teams of five outstanding and committed fellows to volunteer with a partner institution in India for a one-year period.
IIC attracts fellows who have excelled both academically and professionally, who take a rigorous approach to concrete problem-solving, and who are dedicated to performing at a level of excellence that goes beyond the status quo.
Each team is comprised of graduates from a variety of disciplines who are trained in the US and India in innovative design, social entrepreneurship, management consulting skills, and leadership.
At least two top performers from the partner institution work with the IIC team for the duration of the project, with each team totaling seven members.
The seven person team receives support throughout the project from a lead mentor who understands rapid innovation in the Indian context and a team of international ‘light-touch’ mentors experienced in global best practices.
In addition, IIC provides fellows with at least two support personnel who provide personal logistical support.
Each team works together to accomplish the project’s goals. Product driven goals are established for each project, and on-going evaluations scrutinize short-term and long-term impacts.
Together, IIC teams and partner institutions complete projects that produce impactful outcomes, thereby learning how to rapidly innovate and implement solutions in complex settings.
The IIC is now accepting applications from Indian citizens or PIO/OCI card-holders for the 2016 IIC Corps.
Deadline
