Name of the organisation. City
Titus & Co, Delhi
How big was the office? Team strength?
Around 60 lawyers and 9 partners
Application procedure. Internship contact detail
I applied following the usual method of sending an internship application with CV. They are usually prompt in their replies.
Duration in weeks. No. of days/week. Timings
4 weeks, 9.30 am – 7.30 pm ( Timings are tenatative, they may extend depending upon your work )
Accommodation: how, where, how was it?
I found a really good Paying Guest facility ( for girls, obviously ) near Kalkaji. It was close to office, which is at Pansheel Park, GK.
First impression. First day, formalities etc.
The first impression was as expected rather agitated. You are briefed about your task and of-course the office norms by a junior associate after which you are assigned some work and you are in busines!
Main tasks
The main task generally involved research work, and since the firm’s core focus is corporate commercial and litigation, you may never know what kind of work you might end up with, so the work load is fluctuating each day, also sometimes you may have to nagg the associates to assign you some work ( Trust me you don’t wish to be with empty hands )
Work environment, people
Work environment is basically strict. You are expected to be well-behaved and maintain the decorum of the office and the associates are usually helpfull but I don’t think so I got the same vibes from the partners.
Best things?
It was somewhat of neutral experiance weighting more towards negativity due to one flaw which will be dealt in next question.
Bad things?
They will take your cell phones and you are not allowed to go out side ( except for office purposes ) so yeah being rather candid, you are cut off from the world, plus one parter will remind you as if he was some long lost brother of Hitler, so behave nicely infront of him and yeah NO G-MAILS AND NO FACEBOOK DURING THE WORK HOURS.
What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues
The lunch hours are the permitted “chill” hours apart from that you can invent your own ( if you are able to).
Stipend/ month
6000
Anything else you’d like to tell
Diljeet Titus is famous for his love for vinagte cars and other collections, so if lucky he may take you out on a visit to his farm-cum-museum and parade out his collection of some of the finest vinatage cars.
