This was a six week internship. 10th May – 20th June, 2015.

Accommodation: how, where, how was it?

Since I’m a student in Ahmedabad, I stayed at my place.

However, there are plenty of PG and hostel accommodation options in Ahmedabad that one can stay in for a short term basis.

Main tasks

Advocate Milan Bhatt’s internship program is a quality internship for law students.

I worked on a plethora of cases ranging from simple 138 (Negotiable Instruments Act) matters to matters related arbitration proceedings before the Arbitral Tribunal and cases concerning basic contractual rights and duties etc.

Work environment, people?

Excellent and competitive environment. Every one ranging from the support staff to Mr. Bhatt itself are always ready to help.

The best part is that Mr. Bhatt, though being a very busy person, always makes time for all the interns.

Best things?

So far it has been my best internship in 8 semesters.

The only expectation that I had in my mind was to learn and broaden my knowledge of law.

Milan sir is an excellent mentor both in the court as well as in his office. He isn’t hot-headed as many lawyers usually are.

He loves doing what he does and that ensured that I wasn’t bored a single moment during the phase of my training.

I also had the privilege of discussing some of the key features pertaining to forensic science (handwriting and expert opinion).

Saturdays and Sundays were working too, but it never seemed like a burden.

Internships are really fun if you are working under the right person.
