Name of the organisation, Location (city), Team strength
Jupiter Law Partners, Near MG Road Metro Station, Gurgaon
Application process with contact Details
Unfortunately I had applied through a personal contact, making it very difficult for me to discontinue the internship .
I highly recommend NOT to intern here. Nonetheless, if interested you can visit their website.
Duration, Timings
1 month, 10:00 am – 6 pm
First impression, First day formalities, Infrastructure
I was the first one in the office. I reached the office, which is located on the first floor of a mall, at 9:30 and only the office boys were there.
The associates came in half an hour later, and they just asked me to wait for one of the partners who was in charge of interns.
After he arrived, I just walked in and introduced myself and met the partner who welcomed me to the internship. I was given to research on company law without any deadline.
Main Tasks
I was generally asked to find out couple of provisions from some Acts and frequently was entrusted with printing and scanning of documents.
Other than normal research queries regarding corporate law, there was no more work.
Work environment, People
Work environment, as per my experience, is not conducive at all.
There are three associates, one among them is one of the partner’s nephews (literally).
The other associate who belonged to one of the top NLUs. She was well-mannered and helped me out by clarifying my doubts.
Best Things
The easy timings, unlimited tea/coffee, and yes, the Rs. 5000 stipend.
Bad Things
During my internship, there was no healthy legal discussion or debate with anyone, except for the one associate from NLU.
Associates and interns at Jupiter Law Partners have to use the public toilet in the mall which is locked up at around 7 pm.
Stipend
Rs. 5000/month
Biggest Lessons
You really need to please your boss.
Any Other Thing
1. The size of the library was decent enough but the books, according to me, were not arranged properly and it was a task to find a book each time. The office is small and cramped.
The office comprised of 5 partners, 3 associates, and 1 patent analyst. There are 2 office boys to serve food, tea and coffee.
2. I put up at a friend’s place in South Delhi but PGs & flats are very common in Gurgaon. A simple Google search will give you a fair idea of the cost. The office is close to the MG Road metro station.
3. The office timings are one of the better things about the internship. You need to report at 10 am and are generally allowed to leave by 6 pm. The associates have to stay on longer.
Editor’s Note: The internship experience has been heavily edited.

You could have refused taking the stipend if you disliked the place that much ?
