First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The first day I was introduced to other colleagues/interns in the chamber.
The chamber is located at a well-situated area which is right in front of Vinayak City Centre, Civil Lines.
The chamber is full of law books from various topics and you are free to refer to any or read any book on your own.
Main tasks
The main task was to read the case files and make a short report based on that.
Apart from that, you need to read/refer to the books referred to you and jot down the main points for your own knowledge and at the end of the day, you were asked what you did and what you learnt on that specific topic.
If you intern after your 3rd year, you would be accompanied to the court to witness the court proceedings.
Work environment and people
The environment is very friendly and co-operative.
You are allowed to use the computer and internet for any reference work, so, there is no need to carry a laptop along.
The co-interns and other advocates working in the chamber are really helpful and always ready to assist or guide you in any query.
Best things
The best thing is that the chamber is situated in the heart of the city and there are innumerable places to chill if you are done early with your work.
Also, on Sundays, you get to personally interact with Sir and he can actually teach you many new things about law and specially his main field which is Income & Sales Tax.
Bad things
None
Stipend
No Stipend
Biggest Lessons
You get to learn a lot of things in the chamber by interacting with Sir himself.
