Application Process
I got through personal contact.
Duration of internship and timings
I interned for 4 weeks during April – May.
The timings were from 10 a.m to 6 p.m.
Saturdays are working.
Associates stay back till late but interns can always leave at 6 p.m.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The firm has two teams: Corporate and Litigation.
I was part of corporate team.
The associates at Alaya Legal Advocates are young and understanding.
They first introduced me to all the associates.
I was given a seat with a P.C.
They told me what are my tasks are and how is to be done.
The office is on the 3rd floor.
There are 3 conference rooms and the library is where the associates sit.
Many internet sites are blocked in the office computers.
Main tasks
My main task was compilation of various Acts related to energy sector in the format they provided.
I compiled around 20-25 Acts.
After a while this became very monotonous.
Work environment and people
Work environment at Alaya Legal Advocates is good.
They will interact with you and are very helpful.
They associates check the work done by the interns.
They will tell you the errors made and how it is to be corrected.
Best things
The best thing is that the associates check the work done by the interns at regular intervals.
Bad things
The work was very monotonous.

Biggest Lessons
I understood how important it is to compile the Acts and most importantly how to compile Acts.
