Duration: for two weeks

Timing: 10:30 AM to 2 PM

First Impression: the building looks old.

First day formalities: the secretary of the commission gives a brief explanation about human rights, rights and duties of the commission, powers of the commission etc. and gives the schedule to be followed for the next few days.

Main tasks

The commission mainly deals with the cases relating to:

1. Torture by police

2. Violation of freedom of expression

3. Human trafficking

4. Religious violence

5. Caste related issues

6. Violation of basic fundamental rights.

Work environment and people

The people of the commission are very helpful and friendly.

Attending commission proceedings. Registering the details and hearing the common people problems and how their rights are violated.
