Name of the Student, College and Year of Study

Name of the organization
Legistify Services Private Limited, B-37, Ground Floor, Polyplex tower b, Block B, Sector 1, Noida, Uttar Pradesh -201301.
About the Organization
Legistify is an online legal facilitation platform which provides legal services to its clients pan India. The organization provides services to individuals as well as firms.
Duration
11 November, 2019-10 December, 2019.
Process of application
Application process is very simple. You need to send your CV along with a cover letter to Ms. Avani. If your CV and cover letter is shortlisted then after a brief telephonic interview you will be selected for the internship.
Timings
Timings for interns are 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. The timings were fixed and interns were asked to leave by 7 on most days.
First-day formalities
On the first day, all interns were required to fill an intern induction form. Then, Avani Mam took a brief introduction of the interns and then she explained about the functioning of the organization and the work that has to be performed by the interns.
Work environment and people
The work environment was really comfortable and conducive. All the associates in the organization were quite friendly and were always willing to help interns whenever needed.
All of them ensured that interns felt comfortable and were able to adapt with the working environment of the organization.
Main Tasks
I was assigned with many research projects during the internship tenure. Research topics included research on trade licenses, mandatory compliances for a company, role of technology in the legal arena etc. I was also a part of the onboarding team of the organization wherein I was required to onboard new lawyers for the firm.
During the onboarding process I interacted with various lawyers from all over India which helped me in improving my communication skills and understanding the legal situation in different parts of the country. Also, I was able to develop personal terms with some of those lawyers.
Avani Mam was always available in case any intern had queries regarding the work assigned. She would always make it a habit to sit with the interns every day and assess their work as well as critically evaluate the quality and cogency of their research work.
She would explain about the legal profession and often shared her experiences with me which was inspiring for students like me. It was a privilege and really enlightening experience to work under her guidance.
Also, each intern was required to e-mail all the work done by him/her throughout the day. This ensured that interns are properly working on the work assigned to them and also kept all the interns motivated to work.
Good Things
The internship helped me in bridging the gap between the education that is imparted in a law school and practical skills that are needed to work in an organization like this.
I was required to deliver legal advice on 3 problems every day that were inquired by people on the organization’s website. I also delivered presentations on a variety of legal topics like trademarks, patents etc. All this helped me in improving my communication, research and writing skills to a great extent.
Bad Things
There was no dark side of the internship rather I will advise all law students to intern in the organization.
Stipend
The organization pays interns in the range of Rs. 3000-5000/- for a month-long internship.
Accommodation and commuting
I used to stay in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad so I used to commute via Metro. Most of the days one of the associates would drop me back home in the evening.
Anything else, what else did you do to chill out
There is a cafeteria on the first floor of the building wherein everyone used to have lunch together. This also led to informal interactions between co-interns and employees.
In a nutshell, the experience of this internship was full of knowledge. The tenure passed in this organization is so enriching that I will cherish its memories and learning’s for my lifetime.
