First Day Formalities Initial Impressions
The first-day impression was far better than what I imagined. Everybody at the office was welcoming. I met Sindhu Ma’am and had a small introductory talk. Later, Aarti Ma’am assigned me a seat adjacent to Lakshman Sir who works as an Associate. It was my duty to report to him every day and then he assigned me some research work.
The same day in the afternoon, I met Dinesh Sir who is an AOR in the Supreme Court and also Co-Founder, LiveLaw. It felt really good to have a conversation with him. He is exceptionally talented. He gave me a lot of insights into the legal profession. I also met Mukund Sir, who is very sincere and particular about his work.
Main Tasks
The main tasks at the office involve extensive research work in the field of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law and Company Law. I was asked to read a lot of judgments. I was asked to prepare case briefs and assist in drafting replies and legal notices. I was also asked to accompany Ashwini Sir at NCLT in various matters.
Good Things
The best part was to have met Dinesh Sir. I got an opportunity to learn a lot of things from him. He is the best mentor who is gracious and humble.
Lakshman Sir was always ready to listen to my doubts and help me in the best way he could. He is very friendly with all the interns.
I am so thankful to the whole team of IndiaLaw LLP for such heartwarming and friendly treatment for all the interns.
Bad Things
No bad things at all. Trust me!!!
Stipend
No stipend.
Accommodation Commute
The office is situated at Todermal Road, Mandi House. It is just a 5 minutes walk from the Mandi House Metro Station.
Other Info
It was a motivational experience. I am still in touch with everybody at the office and look forward to working with them in the future.
