I had mailed my CV to office[at]gnslegal.in, one month prior to the date of my commencement.

First Day Formalities Initial Impressions

My first day started with an interactive session with their Associates and Head of the firm while having a cup of tea. They all were legal prodigies and helped me to come out from any point of doubt.

The first work I got was to do research on a factual based situation regarding a civil matter for which I had to assist sir with the relevant case laws. They also provide me with the assessment of their SCC Online website in order to ease my research work.

Main Tasks

Each day of our internship, we had to reach our respective court where our case had been assigned and had to give a brief about those proceeding to the associates.

While in office, we had to read a lot of case files and to do extensive research work with respect to those case laws.

Good Things

All the associates there were legal gems. Working under them as an intern was simply a wonderful experience. They enlightened me with the topics such as Evidence Act, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, SARFAESI Act, etc. that are not even in my course and taught me in such an easier way that is not easy to forget. Now, I got an inkling of how can I enhance my drafting skills.

Sometimes the staff got rude when you did not perform your work correctly.

Overall, it was an exhilarating experience to work under the aegis of Siddharth and Raghav sir. One can apply here to get a full-fledged experience of working as an intern under a law firm.
