First impression, First day formalities, Infrastructure
There are no first day formalities as such, you just report to the office and start working.
The office has a Lok Adalat room (the interns sit here), a mediation centre (you can sit here too), a library and office cubicles chambers, etc. It is located in the City Civil Court Building (its teeming with lawyers the whole place).
Main Tasks
You will be asked to prepare press notes, reports, go through pre-litigation files and other random desk jobs.
Lok Adalats are organized on Saturdays either in the office or a pre-decided place. (these are interesting)
You also visit Jails, Juvenile Homes, etc. with the offficials. (We went to the Presidency Central Jail – an amazing experience)
That apart they also organize awareness camps at colleges and schools and you get to be a part of them.
Work environment, People
The office staff though lethargic are kind and good to talk to.
The Deputy Secretary cum Registrar Mr. Anjan Kr. Sengupta (WBJS) is in-charge of the interns. He is a kindly man and really sweet to talk to. He will invite you to the pre-litigation trials and discuss them with you after. He appreciates the work if you do it diligently.
The interns are at liberty to come and go at any time they want to, no strict attendance is enforced.

None that I found except maybe there are a few days when you have nothing to do.

I am a 1st semester law student from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur. I hail from kolkata so want to do my internship at the West Bengal State Legal Services Authority. Can I get an internship there? would anyone help me with the Application procedure?
