Timings

Office Timings: 10AM-7PM (Subject to an early reporting time if an intern is to visit any Ld. Court/Tribunal)

Work Experience

The office provides a separate work space for interns. The associates are always interested in giving work and making us learn.

I assisted  associates with drafting Legal Note on SLPs , Broadcast Petitions, Anticipatory bail application, Review Petitions and Written Statements in civil suits and consumer disputes.

I completed several research assignments on various aspects of broadcasting law, consumer disputes, maintenance proceedings under Domestic Violence Act and Code of Criminal Procedure. Apart from the aforesaid tasks, several days were spent on visits to Ld. Tribunals—Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal, Janakpuri District Consumer Forum, various District Courts as well as the Hon’ble Delhi High Court.

The visits to the Hon’ble Delhi High Court were particularly illuminating because they gave me insights on the functioning. I had the good fortune to assist and witness High Court proceedings for TRAI and other channel dispute regarding the 12 min Ad-cap matter in which I witnessed arguments made by Senior Counsels like Amit Sibbal etc

I was taught even the minute things like the process of Filing and how to arrange the documents in a proper order and all the other things that we need to take care

I also wrote an article on “Interplay between TRAI and CCI” which was posted on LinkedIn by one of the Associates Adv. Sushant Chaturvedi

Best things

1. The best thing during the Internship was observing different Courtroom/tribunal  proceedings.

2. The firm is located near Bengali sweets, Mandi house there are many food joints and dhabas nearby and it is very close to Connaught Place. There you can find lots of places to eat and chill.
