First Impression
The firm in located in DLF towers Jasola which is surrounded by many other similar corporate office buildings. The office is situated in the ground floor itself which I think is a plus point. The infrastructure of the office is elegant, pleasant and spacious.
Interns are provided with a dedicated desk which includes a desktop and a telephone. On the first day, Interns are introduced with the team and assigned a department and a supervisor as per availability and interest. The interns are also given an e-copy of the internship policy and worksheet right on the first day.
Main Tasks
There is a very well defined and efficient channel or system of how work is allotted and supposed to be completed by the interns. The supervisor provides you a separate intern email id, allots new research or drafting assignment and you’re supposed to make reports and drafts accordingly.
I was a part of the corporate team so most of my work revolved around companies. The work allotted is diverse as well as interesting. Sometimes when there is a deadline you might be allotted work from the other department as well which I think is a perk only because you get to learn from a wide array of things.
The good part about the kind of work assigned is that it’s not just limited to domestic companies but foreign companies and MNC as well. The level of exposure is fascinating when you get work relating to such huge clients. You also get to visit NCLT with associates just to gain an insight on how the tribunal functions.
All interns are allotted with a dedicated research topic at the beginning of their internship apart from the office work. Interns are supposed to research on the said, create and present a presentation in front of all associates in the last week of their internship. Purpose is to asses your research and communication skills.
Work Environment and People
The work environment of the firm is simply excellent. The associates are very kind, humble and down to earth. They never let you feel that you’re subordinate or anything but they treat you as a part of the family.
I used to report to two seniors in the corporate team, Ms. Sindhuja Kashyap and Mr. Raghav Gaind. Both of them helped me in an immense manner to improve my knowledge and skills. They are always ready to help when there’s a doubt.
Stipend
None, but I think the kind of work you get to do and overall addition to one’s knowledge and personality that this internship offers is more than enough consideration to be driven by.
Good things
The work environment is a big plus point, Amazing Infrastructure and location of the office, Free Lunch.
Bad thing
There isn’t really any bad thing about the internship.
