First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

My experience with this internship was fantastic. The office is located in Fort. It is decently spacious. I was provided with my own desk and computer to work on. At first I was introduced to the whole team. Everyone was very kind and helpful. On the very first day I was taken to the courts and tribunals and more information about the on going proceedings were given.

Main tasks

The work was mainly research oriented and consist of research on various topics, constructing reports and assisting seniors to various tribunals and Courts. Very often I was provided with an opportunity to draft parts of written submission and other legal documents.

Intense research and legal drafting on many topics has definitely helped me improve my researching abilities and has helped me improve my writing abilities as well as my networking capabilities.

Work environment and people

There are two seniors to whom I would report my work Namely Advocate Pragya Khaitan and Advocate Ashish Pyasi. Both the seniors are very supportive and helpful whenever in any difficulty.

My experience with Advocate Pragya Khaitan was excellent. She encouraged learning by asking questions. She would always take an initiative in involving me in all matters that were currently going on. She would assign me work related to various matter in NCLT as well as High Court, Mumbai and would also take me along to the said tribunal and Court.

She provided me with opportunities to polish my drafting skills. She would sit with me while I draft and point out mistakes and show me the correct way of drafting. This helped me learn a lot about drafting various legal documents such as legal opinion, written submissions, etc.

Best things

Internship at Dhir and Dhir Associates gave an overall learning experience. I was able to experience and learn alot. One of the main thing was that while topics were given, i was allowed creative freedom, which helped us to do the work better

Biggest Lessons

All in all this is a very good internship that you can learn a lot from. The staff of the organisation is also very kind and agreeable which helps as well.
