Duration of Internship and timings

2 weeks.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

On the first day we were given internship form to fill and then we were given set of rules and regulation to read.

The HR gave us sheet to fill our preferences for the team in which we want to work. We were allotted according to the preferences.

Main tasks

I was in the corporate department so my main task during the internship was to help Senior Associate and Partner with the research work on the matters they were working on.

I was also asked to list down regulatory updates on daily basis, summarize articles on topics that were allowed by the partner.

I was asked to summarize the new Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and was asked to brief the senior associate on the all the relevant points they need to know about this new law.

Work environment and people

The environment at SAM is very good and friendly, all the associates, senior associate and partner are friendly and easily approachable.

Best things

The best thing about the internship was the research work and drafting articles.

Bad things

I don’t think working at SAM has any bad thing.

Biggest Lessons

Interning at SAM, the biggest lesson I learnt was how to be accurate at your research and this internship taught me drafting of legal articles.

Accommodation

My family resides in Ahmedabad, but those who do not belong to Ahmedabad stays in paying guest accommodation which is easy available at a price anywhere between 10,000 and 20,000.

Office Timings

2 weeks 5 days a week from 9:30 to 6:30.
