I wrote a mail to one of the partner asking for part time internship after college hours with attached CV and received a response from one of there associate confirming my internship for the month.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

Impression for the first time was quite satisfactory. No such formalities, infrastructure was good not a huge office space but well maintained with a board room, coffee space etc.

Main tasks

Research work.

Reading and summarizing cases.

Work environment and people

Nice work environment. Friendly people yet quiet. We used to have healthy debates on burning issues. Partners are really cool and calm.

The associates were always ready to teach but I always used to ask work because everybody would be very much busy with there works.

Best things

People and specially partners were the best. A quiet place to work in.

I enjoyed the experience as a whole and specially for a person for whom sitting on one place for 4 long hours is really a difficult task but seeing everybody so engrossed I used to feel a kind motivated to sit and complete my tasks.

Bad things

No stipend.

One of the associate was a bit rude, others things were cool.

Biggest Lessons

Work quietly sitting on one place, it might not be a concern for everybody for me it definitely was as already mentioned above.

Working on online legal data base, reading cases, making notes and above all they asked me to give presentation on last day of internship it went quite well. I prepared a ppt and everybody seem impressed that was indeed a boost up and just the appreciation.

Office Timings

As I was the only part time intern there so I used to reach by 4.00 pm in the evening and get free by 8.00 pm but other full time interns used to come by 10.00-10.30 am and would work till 7.00 pm.
