Application Process with contact details
I applied through a personal visit at the Mumbai Office. The HR (Abha Duggal) gave me a call further and confirmed my internship.
Duration of internship and timings
7th December 2013- 7th January 2014
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The office is nice and fairly big. My day started with Abha (HR) introducing me to the team and the co interns. The co interns got a separate area to sit. I was asked to CRY and this is how my first day went about. The people at the office were warm and very sweet.
Main tasks
At the time I interned at CRY, they had an ongoing campaign which was called the Election Advocacy Campaign. Through this campaign they had prepared a manifesto and the aim was to get one million signatories for the same so that the manifesto was included as a part of the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections. This involved tieing up with schools, colleges and restaurants and collecting as many pledges as possible. Apart from these, I had to work on certain legal assignments centered around the Juvenile Justice Act.
Work environment and people
The wok environment in nice and warm.
The people are friendly and sweet.
Very approachable.
Best things
A lot of nice things.
Work was fun. Never monotonous.
Sweet people around. Fun co interns.
This was my first internship and I believe CRY provided me a great start.
Bad things
None as such.
Stipend
No Stipend
Biggest Lessons
As I mentioned earlier this was my first internship and hence I did not have any such lessons.
I just got a hang of how internships are supposed to be done and it was a great experience.
Overall Rating
9
Accommodation
I have my family in Bombay so accommodation was not a problem.
However there are lots of places around Mahalakshmi that provided appropriate accommodation. OYO Rooms is also an option.
Office Timings
The office timings were from 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening.
