First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The first impression was very good. The infrastructure was up-to-date and there were not many formalities to be completed.
Main tasks
Research on criminal matters like murder and culpable homicide, suicide as well as on divorce petitions.
Work environment and people
The associates there are very friendly and help your to clear any doubts when in need. And when I interned, we had great interns too!
Best things
I got to go to court everyday. I visited the Bombay High Court almost everyday. I also got to visit the Sessions court, the Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court as well as the Family court.
Also, there were a lot of high profile cases that came to Sir and I could know about them before I read them in the papers next day.
Bad things
I wasn’t really satisfied with the kind of work I got because it was my first internship and I had huge expectations on how it will be.
They had interns who were working there for more than 6 months and naturally, they got preferred over me for any new case that came around.
Stipend
No stipend.
Biggest Lessons
Not any.
