First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
Day 1 – Includes an orientation program at SNTI (Shavak Nanavati Technical Institute) where they taught us Ethics code of TATA & Sons Ltd, safety measures like wearing safety shoes, helmet, fire safety, what to do in emergency etc.
After that a gate pass issued to us further another training called safety training where our finger prints taken and some videos shown to us including biography of Jamestji TATA then another ID card issued to us called safety card
Main tasks
Before assigning live project to us, senior manager told us to study Electrical steel in detail, so there is very big library called information and documentation center where we studied electrical steel its manufacturing, application, compositions, characteristics etc.
After 2 days of this project work assigned to us, a project “Patenting trends in electrical steel” was assigned to us.
So main task was to search for patents and study them, then make a taxonomy of those patents, then some work related to FER (First examination report), drafting of claims given to us.
Overall technical and IPR work is there.
Work environment and people
Work environment is too friendly.
They assist us in every phase from what to do ,how to do and they also shared there experiences while working in IPR and practical problems that they face in this field of R&D being a biggest steel manufacturer in India.

You have to start from basics. And hardwork always pays.

Stayed in a PG. Available at very cheaper cost around 1500-2000 Rs per month and no security
Office Timings
From 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, but sometimes 6:00 PM
