I went straight away to IOCL situated at Arera Hills Bhopal.and gave my CV attached with application form.
The application and CV will be sent to Mumbai head office and if you are selected they’ll give you a call regarding when to start your internship.
Duration of internship and timings
I interned from 22nd June, 2015 to 25th July, 2015.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
Well, what first came to my mind by listening to government office was latecomers, less work, bad infrastructure and women’s doing household works. Excellent infrastructure and very sincere and regular employees.
Interns were given separate cabin so that they don’t have any problem and be comfortable in the office.
Main tasks
Santosh Sir is Assistant Manager of Law and a very nice and humble person. He was the one who’ll give the files to read and different Acts to read about. For one week it was monotonous as we were only to read files.
But after that Neha Mam Law Officer gave files which was very interesting as we were been given cases which were to be decided and discussed with Khapre Sir Manager Law.
We were also been given a case to draft as they wanted to see our team work and how much we have learnt.
At the end I made project on Litigation in PSU’s or IOCL. 2 weeks after submission of project I was given certificate.
Work environment and people
Work environment of IOCL is very good. Many people are workaholic. They have a wonderful working environment. All the members of law were ready to help always whenever we stuck in any case.
By the end of the day we have to discuss about the cases which were been given to us.
There was a club house which comprised of indoor games which were been played by anyone during lunch hours.
Best things
Anyone who wants to enter into IOCL, or ONGC or HP can learn a lot and can have a good experience of it.
All the employees work really very hard.
Good canteen and very hygenic also with reasonable rates.
Bad things
No stipend.
The snacks and tea given to other employees is not given to interns that was very bad as the smell of snacks was so tempting.
Stipend
Nope.
Any Other Thing
A very good learning experience. They’ll actually teach you and will make you learn about each case which is pending before MP High Court and cases which are decided.
