First Day

The lawyer has a private practice and has an office at INA, where there are other 6 lawyers who also have private practices.

I did not really have any impressions on the first day because there was no real work, and just interaction with the lawyers.

Sir was really humble and made me feel comfortable and assigned work for the next day.

Main tasks

The main tasks were to attend the court room proceedings, read case files and summarize, make arguments and appeals and meet the clients.

I visited different courts as well Tribunals including Patiala House District Court, Debt Recovery Tribunal, Central Administrative Tribunal, Custom Excise and Service Tax Appellant Tribunal, High Court as well as Supreme Court.

Environment

The work environment was very light. Even through all the work pressure, everybody worked at ease.

The only thing he wanted was the work to be done in the given time and it was up to me to finish it within the given time.

Best things

The best thing about this internship was the exposure that I got from attending the proceedings in different courts. During this Internship, I learned a lot about the case proceedings, filing writ petitions, making appeals and arguments.

But the best of all was attending the case proceedings in many courts as well tribunals. This internship was not just focused on one court but many courts tribunals.

Biggest Lessons

The Biggest lesson that I learned was that the smallest details can have the biggest importance.

During internship, I always got to learn something every moment from Sir. He, with all the patience, gave me tips of being a good lawyer.
