First Day

The first day in office was very comforting, as there was a lot of pressure mounted on us for this internship.

Monisha Ma’am explained to us the kind of work we were expected to do and gain from this experience.

Without wasting much time, we were allotted our respective teams and we started working from the very first day.

The infrastructure, however, is not very massive.

Main tasks

The firm majorly deals with the matters pertaining to Property.

Initially, the main task given to the interns is research work.

After the interns have settled, they give you work relating to synopsis or drafting.

They try and give you work you are comfortable with.

Environment

The work environment is really nice, as the associates try to make interns as comfortable as possible.

They treat you as one of their own.

People at the office are very friendly, and keep bringing food for one another from their homes. The office works together as a family.

Best things

The best thing about this internship is you get a lot to learn about the ongoing land disputes in the country and the laws with respect to that.

Once you have interned here, you tend to have a great command over the Laws on Property.

Bad things

You don’t get paid. (They might pay you if you are a Unicorn among the horses) 😛

Biggest Lessons

It is really important to do as many internships as possible. And sometimes you have to keep working hard no matter what the outcome is.

The competition among interns in firms is cut-throat, so better be prepared for the outside world in case you plan on going for Corporate Law.

Anything else?

The chai served to by Ammaji (domestic help) twice a day was the most refreshing thing ever.
