Symbiosis Law School, Pune, successfully hosted the 7th Symbiosis-B Krishna Memorial National IPR Moot Court Competition 2015, in association with Krishna and Saurastri Associates, Patent and Trademark Attorneys, Mumbai, on the 6th, 7th & 8th of February 2015.
The inauguration ceremony of the three-day legal battle witnessed the participants from 48 leading Law Schools across the country.
An International team from the Faculty of Law, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh was also the part of the prestigious competition.
The final rounds of the competition were conducted on the 8th February at 12 noon, followed by Valedictory ceremony at 2.00 pm.
Hon’ble Justice Dr. (Smt.) Shalini S Phansalkar Joshi (Judge, High Court of Bombay), Smt. Prathiba Singh (Senior Advocate, High Court of Delhi) and Mariarputham, Advocate General of Sikkim judged the final round of the moot court competition.
Results:
The Best Memorial went to Nikhil Saini, Aastha Trivedi and Nikhil Bansal, NLU, Odisha with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and a trophy.
The Best Advocate & 2nd Best Advocate awards were bagged by R. Venkatesh, WBNUJS, Kolkata and Gaurav Sharma, NLIU, Bhopal with a trophy and cash prizes of Rs. 7,000 and Rs. 4,000, respectively.
Harsha Satyakam, Surabhi Pande and Himangi Kapoor, Amity Delhi won the runners up trophy with a cash prize of Rs. 18,000.
Anamica Singh, Anupal Dasgupta and Garima Nagpal from RMNLU Lucknow were adjudged as the Best Team and lifted the glittering trophy with a cash prize of Rs.25, 000.
