The Moot Society (TMS) of National Law University Odisha, Cuttack is pleased to announce the 1st National Law University Odisha Maritime Law Moot CourtCompetition 2014 scheduled for 21st-23rd March 2014.
TMS hereby extends warm welcome to all the Institution in India and abroad to participate in this first edition of NLUO Maritime Law Moot Court Competition (NLUOMLMCC).
The subject matter of this moot is chosen to accolade the maritime operations in Odisha and consequently encourage intellectual discourse in the field of Maritime Law.
However, this first edition of shall focus exclusively on insurance related facets of Maritime Law.
Odisha has been the hub of maritime activities boasting of a glorious past. In view of which, the University is encouraged to open up a maritime center that would explore and study the maritime connection in the State.
This moot is open for a maximum of thirty two (32) teams. Provisional registration for the moot is now open and closes on February 7, 2014.
Owing to the criteria of having 32 teams, primarily a confirmation of the registration will be sent by NLUO latest by February 10, 2014.
Post this the aforesaid institutions shall be given an opportunity to confirm their participation by upon payment of Rs. 2000 (Two thousand only) in favour of the Registrar, National Law University Odisha, Cuttack, payable at Cuttack by February 16, 2014.
However, the participating institutions are free to submit the team details latest by March 10, 2014.
