About
IJLMS is hosting the 1st Justice H.R. Khanna Memorial Essay Competition 2016 in association with IP Markets, Hyderabad.
It is a unique medium of identifying and recognizing one of the most important contributions that the judge has made to the Constitution and the democratic spirit of India.
The competition shall look into various insights about how the Constitution has evolved and principles and seeds of integrity and nationalism sown by judges like H.R. Khanna have reaped in light of the Judicial Activism in India today.
Judicial Activism is on the rise in India. Judges like H.R. Khanna have, for long, preserved the integrity of the judiciary and protected the Fundamental Rights in desperate times. Such spirit of the Judiciary is indomitable in India.
Today, Judicial Activism is understood by many as Judiciary transgressing into the dominion of the Legislature. There is a need to relook at how Judicial Activism is paving in India as opposed to other countries.
A comparative analysis would be imperative to make.
We consider that the area of law is too vast in the current theme.
