High Court is the first appellate court of our legal system. In High Courts, there is only arguments on the issues, they are no witness, statements etc. (until required). It is because all the statement are recorded usually at the stage of trial court. Then also, you'll get to know the filing work as our Sir used to file lots of writ petitions on social issues, for example reservation policy etc.
