About the Centre
Centre for Business Laws (CBL) established in 2013 is a specialised centre working in Govt. Law College, Thrissur, Kerala.
CBL offers various academic programmes designed to supplement the curriculum which demands practical oriented approaches for a professional course.
The students are provided with opportunities to perceive the lessons learnt in the classroom on an application level to a variety of areas within Business Law.
About the Workshop
GST is the biggest reform introduced in the Tax Regime of our country after independence.
It is something that each of us must understand as it is going to affect our lives in a very significant manner.
There are multiple taxes in the present system , because of this multiplicity of taxes there is a high cost of compliance for both assesses as well as Government.
Because of different legislations involved there are different meaning assigned for the same term.
All these shortcomings lead us to adapt a new system of taxation for ease of doing business and for seamless flow of credit across the whole supply chain.
GST amendment Bill has already been passed in Lok Sabha and will become a law soon.
Hence, Centre for Business Laws intends to conduct a three days National Workshop to discuss the proposed bill in detail.
