After the successful completion of the GCSL first publication “Sports and Legislature” by Eastern Book Company, Lucknow (2015) (ISBN 978-81-910389-2-7), GCSL is pleased to invite submissions for the Second Edition, titled: “Sports and Law”.
The publication is gradually but steadily gripping into the academia and research fraternity of sports law hence its an opportunity for one and all to research, explore and experience the growing sports industry of India in continuation to the success of the first edition of the GCSL book “Sports and Law”, the GNLU Centre for Sports Law is coming up with the second edition of the same.
The second edition will address the current legal issues in the field of sports, including match-fixing, doping, betting and gambling, broadcasting, commercialization of sports, ethics and good governance, fate of amateur and professional sports Industry of India etc.

Submissions under the following categories are invited:
Long Articles: Between 5000 and 8000 words, including footnotes
Short Articles: Between 2500 and 3000 words, including footnotes
Case comments and Case summaries
General Write-up and comments
Review of books of Sports Law
Submission Guidelines:
Submissions are to be made only in electronic form. They are to be sent to gcsl@gnlu.ac.in
Details about the author(s), including qualifications and institutional affiliations, if any, are to be mentioned in the covering letter. Co-authorship (up to 2 authors) is permitted.
Only original work need be sent. It is presumed that, once the work has been sent, that it is the original work of the author(s) so named and that it has not been published anywhere else.
All work need be sent in MS Word format- (.doc or .docx)
The mode of citation to be followed by the Author(s) should be uniform and according to the Harvard Bluebook, 19th
Scope of the Submissions: The work must be on contemporary legal issues on sports law and policy in India. The language used must be formal and clear, adhering to the submission guidelines.
Review Process:
The submissions received would be reviewed and the Editor(s) would determine whether the subject matter fits within the scope of the topic and also would assess the quality of the manuscript.
The decision on publication will be solely the discretion of the Chief Editor
