We at the Debating Society of BITS Pilani are pleased to invite you to the 5th edition of Q.E.D, our annual debating tournament, to be held in our college from the 13th to the 15th of February 2015.
Q.E.D has always been known for offering quality debating experience, brilliant motions and highly competent adjudication.
The previous editions of the tournament saw winning teams taking home over Rs. 2,00,000 of total prize money, and we shall not disappoint this time around too.
The huge success of last year’s Q.E.D bears testimony to the high standards of organization that the tournament has set for itself. This version of Q.E.D also boasts of a break night dinner that will be accompanied by a rock concert by our college music society.
The tournament will follow the Asians 3-on-3 format of Parliamentary Debating. Cross teams are allowed.
We have a total team cap of 32 teams and an institutional cap of 4 teams and N+1 adjudicators.
Registrations will be done strictly on a first-come-first-serve basis. The registration fee is Rs.1,200 which includes accommodation, food and transportation to Pilani.
We have also arranged for a bus to pick up participants from Delhi on the 12th of February, details of which shall be intimated later.
Adjudication subsidies worth over Rs. 15,000 are up for grabs, and applications for the same can be mailed tosymposiarch.bits@gmail.com. Please send in your debating and adjudication credentials along with the application.
Ambar Bhushan, Somil Kumar and Jagat Sohail have consented to be adjudication core for the tournament.
