Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow is happy to announce the 3rd edition of the RMLNLU- SCC Online International Media Law Moot Court Competition to be held from February 27 to March 1, 2015.
The moot proposition shall be based on contemporary Media law under the common law.
This year we are expecting participation from teams all over South Asia.
Institutions are requested to confirm their participation through provisional registration by December 1, 2014.
Teams are requested to confirm participation by sending an email of their team composition by January 15, 2015 to rmlscconlinemoot@gmail.com
All participating teams shall be given SCC Online access cards upon registration of the team. Participants are therefore urged to register themselves at the earliest.
IMPORTANT DATES
1. Release of Moot Proposition: November 1, 2014
2. Deadline for Provisional Registration (Institution): December 1, 2014
3. Deadline for Team Registration: January 15, 2015
4. Deadline for Memorial Submission: February 1, 2015
5. Oral Rounds: February 27 to March 1, 2015
ACCESS TO SCC ONLINE WEB EDITION
Participating teams shall receive access to the Web Edition of SCC Online to facilitate research. The SCC Online Web Edition is an extensive database of Indian, foreign and international law.
AWARDS AND CASH PRIZES
a) Winning Team: A trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 along with an SCC Online Web Edition Platinum card including English Law One Year Subscriptions to Supreme Court Cases – Print Edition
b) Runners Up: A trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 along with an SCC Online Web Edition Platinum card including English Law One Year Subscriptions to Supreme Court Cases – Print Edition
c) Best Memorial: A trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 along with an SCC Online Web Edition Platinum card including English Law One Year Subscriptions to Supreme Court Cases – Print Edition
d) Best Oralist: A trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000
e) 10 Practical Lawyer Subscriptions for the Winning team, Runner Up Team, Best Memorial Team and the Best Oralist.
