About the Organisations

IFIM Law School was established in 2015, it is affiliated to the Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) and approved by the Bar Council of India.

District Legal Services Authority has been established under the aegis of The Legal Services Act, 1987 at District level with objectives of creating legal awareness among general public, providing free legal-aid by identifying eligible persons to avail such services, organizing Lok Adalats for speedy settlement of disputes pending before the courts.

About the Event

In the above said context, National level symposium titled ‘Re-Defining Gender Equality’ is being organized by CEWCL, IFIM Law School in association with District Legal Services Authority Bengaluru Rural District, Bengaluru, Lahari Advocates Forum, Bengaluru & The Advocates’ Association, Bengaluru.

Focus will be on the International Women’s Day 2020 theme – ‘#EachforEqual – An Equal World is an Enabled World’. The Symposium shall be held at Auditorium (Ground Floor), Vakilara Bhavana (Advocates’ Association), City Civil Court Complex, KG Road, Bengaluru – 560 009.

The topic for Paper Presentation

The proposed one-day National symposium will deliberate upon issues pertaining to gender discrimination and aims at reaching out to suggestions/ solutions to achieve gender equality. The suggestions shall be discussed in the panel discussion and shall be routed further for the consideration to all concerned public authorities.

Registration Details

• Registration form is attached with the brochure.
• Fee – INR Rs. 500/- single author and in case of 2 authors – INR 1000/- (including symposium kit/ refreshments/ lunch) to be paid through online transaction as per the details given at the end of the brochure.
• Soft copy of the registration form should reach the Law School –cewcl.iwd2020[at]gmail.com copy to shaguftha.anjum[at]ifim.edu.in between 7th Feb 2020 to 10th Feb 2020 along with the payment details.
• All the participants are required to attend the Symposium from 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM compulsorily to avail ‘Certificate of Participation.’
• Formal dress code needs to be adhered to.
• Reporting time for the event is 9.00 AM to 9.30 AM
• On spot registration (paper presentation) is not allowed.
