The world faces multiple crises today: ecologically unsustainable lifestyles in a globalized economy, state domination, patriarchy, and deep divisions based on caste, class, religion, abilities, gender. Yet, there are a number of transformative and alternative initiatives across the globe and in India that present different worldviews and strive for an ecologically wise and socially just world.
Pluriverse, a three-day programme for working youth, is designed around two recently published books, Pluriverse – A Post-Development Dictionary and Alternative Futures – India Unshackled. These books bring together worldviews, perspectives and practical experiences from different countries that envision an inclusive and just world for humans and all other life.
This programme is brought to you by Swaraj University and Kalpavriksh. One of the books’ editors will be present, and some authors will participate virtually.
Dates: March 28th to 30th 2020
Venue: Swaraj University, Udaipur
