9th Symbiosis Law School Pune Model United Nations [SLSPMUN IX, Feb 28-March 1]: Registrations Open

Symbiosis Law School Pune Model United Nations is a MUN organized and managed by Symbiosis Law School, Pune (Symbiosis International Deemed University).

They are organising the 9th Edition of Symbiosis Law School Pune Model United Nations, 2020. This Edition is going to be a conference like no other in Pune – it is going to entail an exceptional standard of debate, wonderful cash prizes, stimulating agendas and an Executive Board constituting some of the finest MUNers in the country. We wish to give budding diplomats a platform to ‘Play the End Game of World Politics’ at SLSPMUN IX – Audere est facere: to Dare is to Do, from 28th February 2020 to 1st March 2020.

Following committees shall be simulated in SLSPMUN, 2020:

Agenda: Discussing the use of artificial intelligence and cyber operations in armed conflict

United Nations Security Council (UNSC): Double Delegation

• Referring the Situation in Yemen to the International Criminal Court
• Considering the imposition of an arms embargo against Myanmar

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)

Agenda: Discussing the development of an efficient waste management machinery for developing countries

World Trade Organization (WTO)

Agenda: Regulation of non-tariff barriers of trade with respect to agriculture

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)

Agenda: Designing a globally fair and economically feasible refugee resettlement system

NITI Aayog – Double Delegation

Agendas:

• Instituting a national drug policy on sale and consumption of various drugs
• Appointment of state police chiefs in reference to State and Centre relations
