ABOUT THE ORGANIZER

The Department of Law, of University of Kerala, established in 1988, is actively engaged in post-graduate teaching and research. Every year 100% pass in the examination with either distinction or first class.40% of the students are qualifying the National Eligibility Test of University Grants Commission to selection of teachers.

ABOUT THE SEMINAR

The Department of Law is organising a National Seminar on the “Constitution of India as envisioned by its Framers- A re-look into its Working in its 70th year of Adoption” on 9th and 10th of January, 2020.

The organizers of the Seminar call upon legal professionals, academicians from other social science disciplines, administrators, university students, young and upcoming research scholars, social activists and representatives of governmental and non – governmental organizations to present their research papers relevant to the mentioned themes. Registration for the seminar is FREE.

CALL FOR PAPERS

An extended abstract not exceeding 1000 words shall be submitted in .doc or .docx format for consideration on or before 28th, December, 2019 to seminarslawku[at]gmail.com. Co-authorship up to 2 persons is permitted.

The abstract shall contain:

  • Title of paper
  • A brief idea of the paper
  • Conclusion indicating the author’s perspective

The abstract shall indicate the name, designation, Institution details, e-mail address and Telephone numbers of all contributors. In the case of co-authorship, each author will have to register separately in the event of participation in the seminar.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING FULL PAPER

  • Length of the paper shall not exceed 2500 words (including footnotes).
  • Format: MS Word, Font Type: Times New Roman, Font Size: 12 Point, Line Spacing: 1.5 (in case of footnotes, font size is 10 point & line spacing is 1), justified text and 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • All submissions should be sent with a covering letter indicating the Name of the Author, Designation, Official address, e-mail ID and Contact details, Topic of the Paper and Declaration duly signed of no prior publication
  • Full papers shall undergo Blind peer review and Plagiarism check. Plagiarized papers shall be rejected.
  • The citations must be in uniform format throughout the paper.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Last date for abstract submission: 28th December 2019
  • Communication of acceptance: 31st December 2019
  • Submission of full paper of accepted abstracts: 6th January2020
  • Dates of Seminar: 9th and 10th January 2020.
