NUALS Parliamentary Debate [Feb 28-March 1, Kochi]: Register by March 1

About NUALS

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies, formerly National Institute for Advanced Legal Studies, is a uni-disciplinary university in Kochi, India for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate legal education. It is the only National Law University in the state of Kerala.

About the Event

NUALS is inviting aspiring debaters and adjudicators from fellow colleges and universities to take part in the sixth edition of the NUALS Parliamentary Debate (NPD) to be held from the 28th of February, 2020 to the 1st of March 2020.

This year’s tournament shall follow the same format of a 2×2 British Parliamentary Debate. Cross teams and independent adjudicators are encouraged to participate. There is no restriction in the numbers of teams who can participate from the one institution though n+1 rule (one adjudicator with each team) will be followed strictly.

Registration Details

Registration for Round 2 is now open for the VI Edition of NUALS Parliamentary Debate (NPD), which is scheduled from 28th February to 1st March 2020.

The timeline for Round 2 registration is as follows

• Registration is open from 1st January 2020 to 15th January 2020.
• Registered teams have to make the payment within the period of 16th – 25th January 2020.

Note: We have a team cap of 40 teams.

Registration Fee for the event is as follows

• Rs 2,200/- per person with accommodation
• Rs 1,800/- per person without accommodation

Prize Money

This edition of the NPD will be giving away the following prize money to the deserving teams and individuals:

• Winners (Best Team): Rs 52,000/-
• Runners Up: Rs 32,000/-
• Best Speaker: Rs 22,000/-
• Best Adjudicator: Rs 22,000/-
