JOB POST: NHRC is Recruiting a Research Consultant and a Research Associate; Apply by July 15

The Commission requires the services of persons who fulfill the following eligibility criteria and who have knowledge and aptitude for research and practical experience in dealing with the Human Rights issues, for engagement as Research Consultant/Research Associate on contract basis on payment of lump sum contractual amount in the National Human Rights Commission.

Research Consultant

Persons having a degree in Law or a Post graduate degree in any Social Science including Criminology with an aggregate of not less than 60% of marks, computer knowledge and at least one year research experience.

The candidate should have an academic bent of mind with a keen interest in carrying out Research on issues in the social sector, preferably with emphasis on their Human Rights dimensions. It is also desirable that he/she should have knowledge of research methodology.

• Maximum age limit – 45 years.

• Remuneration – Lump sum contractual amount of Rs.30,000/- per month.

Research Associate

Persons having a degree in Law or a Post graduate degree in Human Rights /Political Science /History/ Economics/Criminology with an aggregate of not less than 55% of marks, computer knowledge and at least six moths experience of working on research projects in the specified field.

The candidate should have an academic bent of mind with a keen interest in carrying out Research on issues in the social sector, with special emphasis on their Human Rights dimensions. It is also desirable that he/she should have knowledge of research methodology.

• Maximum age limit – 40 Years

• Remuneration – Lump sum contractual amount of Rs.25,000/- per month.

The contract appointment of Research Consultant/Research Associate shall be on  yearly basis renewable upto 3 three years based on their satisfactory performance.
