About the Summit
The International Summit will take place on the 15th and 16th of February, 2019 organized by the International Relations and Foreign Policy Committee under the banner of School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru.
This Summit intends to create a platform to peruse through sources of international conflict, the dynamics of crisis management, and the conditions that allow states to resolve their disputes peacefully. The recent nature of international politics is marred by arms races, territorial disputes, civil war, and mass migration that create insecurity for states, as well as individuals. Thus, dialogue and discussion at this juncture is important to all of us as Global Citizens.
Theme: Mapping the Changing Contours of International Politics
Thematic break-up
The Summit shall concentrate on five broad topics:
Relevance of the European Union
South China sea issue
Brexit and it’s Implications on India
Dispute Settlement Mechanism with Special Attention to the UN
Contemporary Relevance to Latin America
Elements of the Summit
Guest Presentation: The summit will be spread across two days packed with sessions by experts in the field of International Politics having first-hand experience in stirring the discourse on the same.
Plenary sessions: The summit will provide a platform for all the participants to express their views on the theme set in context of ideas introduced by the speakers after the guest presentation at the end of each day.
