Workshop on Conservation of Biological Diversity and Access and Benefit Sharing by NLU Odisha [Jan 18-19, Cuttack]: Register by Jan 11

National Law University Odisha, Cuttack is organizing a Two Day Regional Workshop on “Conservation of Biological Diversity and Access and Benefit Sharing” in association with National Law School of India University, Bangalore under the project granted to it from Government of India-United Nations Development Programme-Global Environment Facility (GOI-UNDP-GEF) on “Strengthening Human Resources, Legal framework and Institutional Capacity to implement the Nagoya Protocol. [Global ABS Project, 2017-19]. The Workshop will be held in NLU Odisha on January 18 and 19, 2019.

The aforesaid project aims to develop the Information, Education, communication and training amongst the different stakeholders in the implementation of Biodiversity Laws in India. This workshop is being organized with the objectives to increase awareness in Conservation of Biological Diversity and Access and Benefit Sharing, to enhance discourse on research in the field of Biodiversity, and to assess the implementation of Biological Diversity Act and ABS provisions in Odisha.

Eligibility

The target audience for the workshop includes Scientists, Professionals, Academicians, Researchers, Students, and Environmentalists.

Intake

The total intake for the workshop is 60 participants.  There is no arrangement for the accommodation of the participants for attending this workshop. However, travel allowance up to a maximum of Rs. 1000 may be given to the participants attending the workshop.

The application form for registration (available here) is to be filled and emailed to cbdworkshop@nluo.ac.in.

The last date for sending applications is 11 January 2019. The participants selected for the workshop would be intimated by 12 January 2019.
