Ikigai Law (formerly TRA Law) is a boutique law and policy firm in India, specializing in representing technology business and investors. The firm represents some of the largest technology companies globally and innovative ventures in India, including satellite manufacturers, UAV companies, e-retailers, AR/VR hardware, and content companies, crypto-currency platforms, and other fintech ventures.
Nature of internship
The scope of work for the interns ranges from basic legal research, preparing case notes, drafting research memoranda, case briefs and to assist attorneys in case preparation and transactions.
This provides exposure to different areas of law and a variety of legal issues. It provides an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience while developing team working skills. It provides intrinsic learning to hone and develop softer skills including cognitive skills, internal and external relationship management skills.
Selection criteria
- Academics
- Past Internship experience and exposure – quality, range, rigour and relevance
- Moot courts’ participation as speaker/researcher – quality and quantity
- Publications/research work – quality and quantity
- Extra-curricular activities – evidence of initiative, leadership, talent and personality attributes
Number of Interns
6 (Six) positions each month

New Delhi
Who can Apply
Interested law students in the 3rd year of the three-year law course, and 3rd to 5th year of the five-year law
Duration of internship
The minimum period of internship is 4 (four) weeks
Application Procedure
Interested law students must apply through the website by clicking here or send an in-mail cover letter no longer than 300 words, and address the following points:
(a) reason for the applicant’s interest in interning at Ikigai Law; and
(b) area of interest of the applicant based on Ikigai Law’s areas of expertise. The resume of the applicant shall be of, at most, 2 (two) pages.
Office rules
- Please note that the office timings are from 10.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. The 2nd, 4th and 5th Saturdays of the month are working.
- Intern might have to stay longer than office hours depending upon work.
- Interns may take up to 2 (two) leaves during the internship period. Leaves must be approved 72 hours in advance.
- Dates of the internship will not be changed once confirmed.
- Interns must disclose if they would need offs for internals, extra classes etc. while applying for an internship.
- Currently, no stipend is being offered to the interns for completing the internship programme.
