‘CHECKMATE’ 2019
Over the past eight years, the Army Institute of Law, Mohali has successfully organized moot competitions with challenging moot problems and has witnessed participation from law schools all over the country. The zeal and discipline with which the competition is organized lead to increased participation every year.
It gives us immense pleasure in announcing the 9th Edition of the Army Institute of Law, National Moot Court Competition ‘CHECKMATE 2019’.
Date of the competition: 18th – 20th January 2019
Venue: Army Institute of Law, Mohali
Eligibility
Students enrolled under 3 year and 5 year law courses.
There is a cap of 32 teams for the competition.
Registration
The teams should provisionally register through e-mail by sending a mail to mcs@ail.ac.in (with subject Moot Court Registration Checkmate 2019) by 7th December 2018.
The scanned copy of the registration form along with the receipt of payment of Rs. 5000/- INR paid using this SBI online payment link should be sent on or before 14th December 2018 via email to mcs@ail.ac.in.
No change in the names of the participants shall be permitted unless the same has been communicated to the organizers a week prior to the event in exceptional circumstances only after due proof has been attached by the participating college.
No Certificates shall be provided at the time of the Registration or during the competition. The same shall be provided only after the Valedictory Ceremony on 20th January 2019. No Certificates shall be couriered/ posted.

- Release of Clarifications: 21st December 2018
- Deadline for Memorial Submission: Soft copy: 7th January 2019
- Hard copy: 11th January 2019
